Access Statement for Trebartha

Introduction
Trebartha is a ground floor apartment in a rural location. The apartment is built into a small hill so all back rooms have elevated views over open countryside

Information & Booking
We have a basic website www.thetrebartha.co.uk showing photographs of most areas and we can email more if required. The lounge kitchen/diner is open plan and most of the furniture can be moved to allow greater access.

Booking/enquires can be made by telephone, directly from our website via email admin@thetrebartha.co.uk text or letter.

All guests are provided with directions to the apartment.

The nearest Railway and Bus station 12 miles as we have a poor bus service a car is required for touring or cycle; we are perfect for walking holidays.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Off road car parking for 2 cars is available directly outside the apartment on stone chippings. A slight but steep incline leads to the apartment 6 foot (1m 83cm) on hard core and paving.

Main Entrance & Reception

The key is issued on arrival. The keyhole is 57 inches (145cm) high The front door is 33inches wide x 6ft 6inches high (84cm x1m-98cm) 2 steps lead to this door plus the step into the front door The door opens into a hallway the light switch is on the right hand side Flooring wood laminate slate colour a non-slip mat just inside the door To the right work surface granite colour underneath a washing machine and tumble dryer both front loading. Energy saving dryer balls supplied plus environmentally friendly Laundry Wash Balls

• Wall cabinets above light wood doors open to left and right, Cream walls. Dark wood flooring giving good colour contrast for anyone with partial or poor sight

• Two doors lead off the hallway
  1) Straight ahead Into the Twin en-suite bedroom
  2) Left into the kitchen area at the end of the hall

• The hall is max width 5ft (1m-53cm) min 3ft (92cm) width by 10ft (3m)

Lounge

• Open Plan living area with short pile carpet. The walls light coffee colour with boarder

• To the right of the lounge 2 x two  seated leather sofa, burgundy with wooden surround plus a  large leather arm chair in the same colour to the left all matching

• In the far left hand corner a television on a dark grey stand plus a  DVD player and video player in a grey cabinet  with double glass door, all operated by remote controls. To the right of this a large picture window opening on the right hand side by the sofa, giving elevated views over our meadow and farm land

• Standard lamp behind the sofa energy saving bulb, blue shade

• Ceiling lights energy saving bulbs

The furniture can be moved to create the correct space for individual needs

Outdoor Facilities

• 2 acres of ground part set aside as wild life meadow, reached by crossing the drive over chippings approximately ten yards then through large farm gate hinge on right lever/ Catch on left. The meadow can be boggy in wet weather and uneven in parts

• Wooden rustic locally made table plus 2x2 people bench each side. Benches have back and arms. Sun Umbrella handles twist type

Master bedroom en-suite

• Door opens inwards, hinge on right

• The radiator is under the window on the right hand side

• Full size wardrobe, bathroom door opens onto this.

• Light switch left of bedroom door

• Bed lights x2 switch either side of bed

• Bedside cabinets with lamps, switch on each lamp

• Overhead bedside lights, switch on both sides of bed plus switch for central light

• Walls warm deep pink

• Carpet on floor short pile neutral colour

Bathroom door

• To left of bedroom door this opens into the bedroom

• Pull light switch on left

• Shower to right as you enter swivel door opening width 22inches (56cm)

• Step into shower height 6 inches (15cm)

• Lever controls height 55 inches (40cm)

• Toilet straight ahead as you enter

• Sink next to the toilet 2 twists taps hot right cold left

• Width between shower and wall 42inches (107cm) but narrows towards toilet and wash basin 22inches (56cm)

This room is less suitable for anyone with mobility problems

Additional Information
We actively encourage recycling and composting plus the use of environmentally friendly products. Fresh produce is available from our vegetable garden and fruit trees in the summer; we do not use any pesticides.

We would recommend for your safety anyone with visual/mobility or hearing difficulties where possible should be accompanied
